- Cameroon celebrates World Malaria Day 2008
Friday, 25 April 2008 all roads led to Nanga Eboko, the headquarters of the Upper Sanaga Division of the Centre Province. To preside over the ceremony was the Minister of Public Health, flanked by the WHO representative alongside government officials, dignitaries, notables, partner organisations and a host of onlookers. The centre of gravity was the official launching of the campaign to distribute insecticide treated mosquito nets to well over 500,000 households in the Centre and North West. The Friends of Global Fund Europe organized high level series of meetings and events were organised in Paris with the slogan “To decide is to win, together let us make malaria a disease of the past”. This was in favour of the fight against malaria from Sept 9 – 11, 2008 - Plan of Action for the 2nd World Malaria Day 2009
Following the deliberations of our recent weekly update of Tuesday, 3 March 2009, we retained the following activities for the upcoming World Malaria Day (WMD) on 25 April 2009: (1) massive mobilisation of awareness raising plus improved hygiene & sanitation, (2) information & mobilisation and (3) Cameroon WMD 2009 exhibition. - CCAM launches "Practical Guide on Malaria Control"
In view of the 2010 World Malaria Day, CCAM shall on Monday, April 26, 2010 launch the French version of its first-ever "Practical Guide on Malaria Control" at the Yaoundé Hilton Hotel at 2 P.M. The official launching ceremony shall be chaired by the Minister of Public Health, Mr André MAMA FOUDA. - Press Event to assess the fight against malaria in Cameroon
CCAM shall rally media persons and key partners in a press event aimed at evaluating the fight against malaria (malaria control) this far in Cameroon. This is scheduled for Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the CCAM esplanade in Bastos, beginning at 2 P.M.

CCAM 2010 World Malaria Day Action Plan

CCAM is actively engaged in this year's activities built up for the World Malaria Day (WMD) 2010 to hold on 25 April 2010 under the theme: "Counting Malaria Out". Top on her agenda is the launching ceremony of Cameroon's first-ever "Practical Guide on Malaria Control" on April 26 and a Press Conference to evaluate the fight against malaria in the great triangle, Cameroon.
