International MIM Conference, November 2005
4 November 2005
Cameroon hosted in Nov 2005, the International MIM conference which brought participants from all over the world to Yaoundé. It was the most attended MIM conference so far and was followed immediately by the RBM partners countries' ministers meeting. A call to action was launched at this conference.
Cameroon recently hosted in April 2007, the Central Africa regional RBM meeting of Ministers of Health in Douala. All except 2 countries were represented at this important meeting where issues concerning malaria as well as general health systems strengthening in member countries were discussed.
Following the launching of the 7th round call for proposals by the GFHTM, the GOC and civil society are mobilising to submit relevant proposals of the different components. Still in preparation for this, Cameroon hosted in Douala in April 2007 a capacity building workshop sponsored by the GF to enhance the participating countries' capacity on proposal write-up for the GF. CCAM is negotiating to participate in this year's proposal with the MOH.
